The Neighbor 2016 review

The Neighbor

This is my first post and review enjoy.

I have been waiting to see this movie since it got filmed in December 2015. The Movie The Neighbor is a thriller about A man and his wife in Mississippi who discover their neighbor his hiding a dark dark secret and get caught up in it.

The Movie stars actor Josh Stewart (John) best known for his roles in "The Collector and The Collection" "Dark Knight Rises" "Criminal Minds"  Bill Engvall (Troy)  Director, writer, comedian.

Of course, I knew as soon as I heard about this movie It was going to be scary and gripping of course as It is written by the creators and writers of Saw VI and The Collector Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.

I had the opportunity to see this movie in the UK cinemas at REEL CINEMAS in York,I went Friday 16th September and due to complications, I wasn't able to see the movie. I was given a full refund and free tickets to go back. I went the same weekend Sunday evening and all I can say is it is one of the best movies I've seen this year.

Josh Stewart is my favorite Male actor, I enjoy all his work and supporting it, He was excellent in this movie from the start he played (John) Very well, the mysterious bad guy with a good heart who wanted to leave his thug life and be a free man. He had lots of great action scenes, And as always his accent was on point. I really enjoyed the vibe his character gave off it was very intriguing.

Bill Engvall was wow in this movie, His character Troy gave me the creeps. He played the creepy neighbor very well I wouldn't have trusted him if he was my neighbor. He came across as a normal man until you see into the dark secrets of his house then you see the man underneath. Creepy man who's not afraid to put up a fight.

The end scene between John (Stewart) and Troy (Engvall) was the best most gripping part of the movie, Just as you think they may have escaped Troy (Engvall) pulls out all the strings. John  (Stewart) was realistic and full of energy, Giving the entire scene suspense and concern. It got my heart racing and me on the edge of my seat.

Rest of the cast members.  Rosie (Alex Essoe) Uncle Neil (Skipp Sudduth) Harley (Ronnie Gene Blevins) Cooper (Luke Edwards) Officer Burns (Jacqueline Fleming) Sarah (Melissa Bolona) Were all beyond incredible they all played there parts great, Each character gave you a sense of feeling whether it was a creepy vibe or an I feel sorry for them to vibe.

It is in all a great movie I loved that it was a thriller and not too much of a horror. The story line was simple and easy to understand. The whole movie gave you a spine chilling vibe from start to finish . I recommend everyone goes see this movie, wherever you are in the world. One of Josh Stewart's top films for me.
