Criminal Minds Season 13 Episode 1 Review

"Wheels Up" Season 13 Review

Where too even start with how awesome the season premiere of criminal minds was.

Season 13 of Criminal Minds kicked off this week with a killer episode.

AJ Cook, Joe Mantegna, Kirsten Vangsness, Paget Brewster, Adam Rodriguez, Aisha Taylor, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Daniel Henney newest member of the cast. Returned for its 13th season. Wednesday 27 Sept 10/9C

Lots of changes happened once again to the cast with the departure of Stephen Walker (Damon Gupton.) Leaving a spot open on the round table. From the sister show Beyond Borders star (Daniel Henney) Matt Simmons joins the team taking over Walker's position on the team

It was clear from the season 12 finale the season 13 premiere was going to be a huge shock with the cliffhanger that left us waiting to see which team members would survive the horrific car crash.

With the highest rating of its time slot, criminal minds came back with a bang. From start to finish the whole episode, had viewers on the edge of their seats, in tears, and in suspense.

From the very start you feel the pit in your stomach that something is wrong, From Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) not been able to reach the team, to new member Matt Simmons joining her (Daniel Henney) going out and searching for the team.

Seeing the team inured and one of the team members dead you feel sadness and shock hit you right in the face. Seeing the members helping one another. You can't help but worry hoping that everyone will be OK.

I believe this was one of the best episodes of Criminal Minds. As it's the shows first time killing off the main character who hasn't already left the show. It gave the realization that the worst can happen to a character you enjoy and love.

My favorite scene of the entire episode was the hospital scene between JJ (AJ Cook) Will (Josh Stewart) There was something real about the scene of how realistic it felt. How they discussed having a way out of a situation if things got too bad. It felt real and touched many fan's hearts. It was a scene that was well-needed reassurance and love.

(AJ Cook) and (Josh Stewart) has always been incredible at giving us the most emotional scenes when it comes to romance in the show but this scene was one of the best ones over the last 10 years of having them on screen together. Their chemistry is something out of this world. They make it look easy and so much love for one another on and off the screen. It's great to see.

My Scratch defiantly played Emily Prentiss and all the fans. ! He was crazy as always. But in the end, he was no match for the BAU! Seeing Emily (Paget Brewster) been tortured by Scratch (Bodhi Elfman) believing she was actually injured and in one of his mind games, was the greatest twist of the episode for me.

( Bodhi Elfman ) Always does an incredible job of playing Mr. Scratch he has haunted us for a couple of seasons It's going to be strange him no longer been around. One of the best UNSUB's the show has ever had.

The whole cast did an outstanding job throughout the entire episode, cast and guest stars! (Josh Stewart) Will LaMontagne  (Tracie Thoms) Monica Walker Both were incredible. Especially when all the scenes were emotional ones.

I thought how they wrote the death of Stephen Walker'(Damon Gupton) into the episode was great. It was emotional but didn't let you forgot how much he was loved and supported by the team and his family. He is a character and cast member I am going to miss a lot. He was a great addition to both the Cast and Crew.

The most powerful part of the episode had to be at the end with the team in the conformance room

"Wheels Up"

I felt goosebumps on my arms through this scene Emily's speech to the team had a real effect with all fans.

"Wheels Up" for sure will stick with fans forever! one of the most powerful scenes throughout the entire series of the show.

I have never felt such emotion to an episode before as I did to this one. It really hits you in the heart does this one. This is how they started the season I can't wait to see what the rest of the season will have install for us

Make sure you tune in weekly Wednesdays 10/9C on CBS for all-new Criminal Minds!
