Insidious 4 -The Last Key Review
Insidious 4 -The Last Key Review
"This is the scariest film I have ever seen, I've never hidden behind my hands so much In a movie before!"
Tonight I went to see the final installment of the movie franchise Insidious, The last key. With its UK release on Jan 12th. The movie has already smashed the US box office in its opening weekend of Jan 5th.
As far as Thriller's go this one tops the list of top Thrillers for me. Written by Leigh Whannell, Directed by Adam Robitel. The writing was great with a great storyline that defiantly kept everyone on their toes, and the directing was some of the best I've seen, It brought lots of suspense to the screen, Each camera angle bringing more heart-pounding moments.
It's all so familiar cast from the previous movies and its new characters, bringing us the best thriller of the year.
Lin Shaye (Elise Rainier) stars the film alongside her trusty demon catching friends. Leigh Whannell (Specs) Angus Sampson (Tucker) Also starring Josh Stewart (Gerald Rainier) Kirk Acevedo (Ted Garza), Ava Kolker (Young Elise Rainier) Pierce Pope (as young Christian Rainier) Spencer Locke (Melissa Rainier) Caitlin Gerard (Imogen Rainier)
From the very start, you knew fear something mysterious and creepy is going to happen. Within the first five minutes, I was hiding behind my hands and jumping out of my seat, before sitting in shock at the terrible things that happened to Elise as a young child. Each minute getting better and better.
Josh Stewart (Gerald Rainier) was incredible through his role in this movie. Stewart's best and most evil role to date. Not used to seeing play such a mean character but he sure knows how to do it. It was amazing to watch on screen, I know I was in shock at some of the things you see his character (Gerald Rainier) Do to his family. Especially with all the twists, the storyline gave us on his dark secrets.
Ava Kolker (Young Elise) was such a talent for such a young actress I thought she played (young Alise) really well and brought some true fear and emotion to the camera. She's got some true talent.
Kirk Acevedo, (Ted Garza) Was a character with a twist. From scared haunted man too, a kidnapper who met his fate with a gruesome death. His character definitely gave me a shock when you see his true evil side. That I did not see coming at all!
I loved the storyline in this movie, From haunting to murders. It was realistic but supernatural at the same time. The spirits leading (Elise) Lin Shaye to the true demons of the house. To me, this made the movie super interesting and one hell of an unexpected twist. Just when you think Young Elise saw a ghost, It was, in fact, an actual person. This really opened the movie into something a lot darker and interesting.
I loved the odd bits of humor, Specs, and Tucker brings to the movies, to make it a little more fun in places, It was nice to have the odd laugh to jumping out of my seat.
I would highly recommend everyone goes to see the movie, The best in the series of movies. It was a great watch it had everything, Shocks, Scares, fear, love. Go see it!
I still have questions that weren't answered. Like what actually happened to Gerald Rainier, How many women did he actually kill? The questions could go on and on!
Available in theaters around the world now.
